Bampton Memorial Hall

Main Hall, Small Hall & Outdoor Spaces available for hire all year round.

The Bampton Village Memorial Halls are available for everyone; for general charitable purposes, for education, training, arts, culture, heritage, amateur sports; for conservation and recreational purposes.

Bampton Village Memorial Halls regularly host a wide array of private and public groups including our local history society, folk camps, first responder training sessions, mountain rescue teams, wedding receptions, children's parties, funeral gatherings as well as numerous society AGM's and all sorts of clubs and associations. 

With capacity in The Main Hall for 200 people standing, 125 people sitting theatre style and 80 people sitting at round tables or even 100 people sitting at long tables, there are so many options for all kinds of functions and events.

Such a beautiful place with so much going on...

We are very proud to live in such a beautiful landscape all around us and we welcome visitors to enjoy the scenery and all the opportunities to engage with the area.

The parish covers the settlements in and around Bampton, Bampton Grange, Bomby, Butterwick, Burnbanks, Knipe and Walmgate stretching along the Lowther, Haweswater, Cawdale and Swindale rivers and becks.

How to find us

From the South: To reach Bampton Village Memorial Hall you can exit J39 M6 Motorway, head towards Shap on the A6, on exiting Shap take the left turn signed to Bampton and follow the road for about 4 miles coming to Bampton Grange, then go over the bridge and on entering Bampton you will find the Village Hall on the right hand side . From the North: To reach Bampton Memorial Hall you can exit J40 M6 Motorway, head east along the A66, then at the next roundabout take the A6 South, at the mini roundabout in Eamont Bridge take the right turn to Ullswater; go over the railway bridge at Yanwath and fork left-  signed to Askham. Follow the road through Askham, heading on to Butterwick and then to Bampton, pass the village shop and bear left towards the village hall. What 3 Words: riverboat.duplicity.unionists
